Cleaning is essential to keep your natural watch looking good. Although our wooden watches are 3ATM water resistant, you should avoid prolonged exposure to running water or submerging your sustainable watch, as natural wood absorbs moisture and can warp. Clean your unique watch regularly with a soft cloth to remove dirt and dust from the exterior. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as these could scratch or damage your wood watch.

Storage

Store your sustainable wooden watch properly when not in use to avoid chips or scratches. Your eco-friendly watch comes with a recycled storage box, but a Bamboo Watch Box is available for those who want an upgrade. Protect your natural wood watch from extreme temperatures to extend its lifespan. Natural wood is sensitive to heat and cold, which can cause warping or splitting. Even though your handmade watch is finished properly, keep it away from direct sunlight, heaters, and cold conditions.

Other considerations

Keep your wooden watch away from magnetic fields, as they can affect its functionality. Regular servicing by professionals will help prolong the lifespan of your recycled wood watch. Always take it to a watch shop for repairs.

Maple & Red Sandalwood

Origins

Maple wood originates from trees native to North America, Europe, and Asia; whilst Red Sandalwood is native to southern India. The perfect partnership for this sustainable watch.

Common uses

Maple woods hardness and durability mean it is commonly used in furniture, flooring, and instruments. Maple’s versatility and widespread availability make it a popular choice for woodworkers and is featured in a number of our wood watches. Whereas, Red Sandalwood has more historical uses in Indian and Chinese cultures including dyes and traditional medicine - alongside more modern woodworking such as furniture, which we upcycle into our vegan watches.

Colours & Wood grain

Hard maple, particularly from North America, is known for its pale colour; whereas Red Sandalwood is renowned for its rich reddish hue, contrasting one another beautifully in this natural watch.

Gorgeous Dual Tones: The Hazel flaunts natural beauty through the beige, brown and red tones of the Maple and Red Sandalwood. This natural wood is upcycled from high-quality wooden furniture. 

Grandiose Features: The watch face of The Hazel is intricately detailed with a date aperture, gold accents, and a textured dial. The Hazel is equipped with precise Japanese Quartz movement for accurate timing. The bracelet clasp secures the watch conveniently and subtly, maximising the unique wood look of the watch. 

Sustainable Materials: The materials used to fabricate and deliver The Hazel are recycled and recyclable. We handmade this timepiece from recycled natural wood furniture, helping combat deforestation and reduce waste. This watch is vegan and entirely cruelty-free.

Carbon-Conscious: Being handmade reduces the energy used during production of the watch and the impact on the environment. With every order 250kg of carbon is removed from the atmosphere and 10 trees are planted, helping combat climate change in the short and long term.
